Mr. Pignati needed company;
He lived all alone.
His wife Conchetta had died,
And he had no friends to phone.
John Conlan had no adults
In his life who cared.
He drank, smoked, and lied,
But his parents weren�t scared.
Lorraine needed freedom
From her mother�s paranoid rule.
She couldn�t see any men
Unless she was in school.
John met Lorraine
Waiting for the bus.
They phoned the Pigman,
And he made quite a fuss.
They became good friends.
Then the Pigman had a heart attack.
In the hospital he gave them his keys.
They threw a party, stabbing him in the back.
He came home
And felt betrayed.
His house was destroyed;
His wife�s dresses were frayed.
The cops came to stop the party
And Norton and John�s fight.
Lorraine was dressed as a flapper,
And John was drunk for the night.
The Bore, the Old Lady, and Mrs. Jensen:
Anger, yes, they did show.
Punished them their parents did,
Out again they�d never go.
The teens apologized to the Pigman
And took him to the zoo.
They wanted to see his monkey Bobo,
But Bobo would never again go, �Ooh! Ooh!�
And died the Pigman did.
He had no friends, he was sure.
John and Lorraine were just as shocked,
And lonely again they were.
A memorial epic they did write
To commemorate their friend.
�Loneliness,� they did say,
�Should not be anyone�s end.�
So remember this sad story,
And diminish loneliness when you can.
Just put yourself in the others position,
And lend a helping hand.
