and consciousness makes hypocrites of us all

a few too many movies in the past few days, but there's always room for an old favorite, i suppose. and a renewed idealism to carry through to the next year, even if it seems more half-hearted and disingenuous than renewed.

still, things seem to be working out. and not half bad either, after it's all tallied and totaled. so i guess better get moving.
