i stepped on a mouse on saturday. i didn't see it. it was an accident. it ran under my foot as i came in the door. i wonder if it's the same one i saw way back in the fall. how long do mice live anyway? well. it's probably dead by now. the nightwatch man said he would flush it down the toilet. i didn't want him to hurt it. it was still alive after i smushed it. but in severe pain, i think. has it been living with me all this time?
