tape man!

~G2~

hehe, yay, today i got my pants gnawed on by a eight-week-old cocker spaniel! (the express pants, g1!) it was a very active little puppy. cocker spaniel...? sounds good. needs grooming tho. hm...

i'm blissfully filled with doggie dreams right now. i'm a total mush. bleck. yay...hehe

guess what? today i remembered this game we used to play in gym at elementary school. it was part of the "heart unit" where we learned about the cardiovascular system. there was a giant tape man (that's what he was called, "tape man") taped on the entire length of the gym, and he had blue & red veins & arteries taped down his arms & legs & head, etc., and a heart and lungs, filled with buckets of "oxygen" which were really nerf balls. so we would be the "blood" and carry the oxygen to the different body parts, depositing them in buckets, scooting around on lil scooters, & taking turns who would push & who would ride. we all worked together to keep tape man alive 'n pumping! it was so much fun. sigh. tape man. that was a classic.

see, that's what effective education really is. not health class, where you only learn about STD's and the heimlich (?) maneuver. tape man was the only reason i remember that the heart pumps & the lungs breathe, not vice versa. this doesn't come thru any ole text book. real hands-on experience. that's the way to go. tape man! you da man! hehe, whoa. stop right there. aww, tape man.
